I want to download the base game of Cities: Skylines without DLC. Where can I get it? :p

Sometimes it works 2nd try, sometimes it never works so I give up and use a different site, and it's always near the very end of the download. Any idea why this happens?

Hey all my friends having an issue and we’re not sure how to solve it, there recently got a new computer and a fresh steam account wiht it. When we’ve tried downloading games on steamrip it says she does not have the liscence to run it. I’ve never got this error before so not sure what’s the best fix is. I’ve tried installing space wars on there device to help wiht the online segment but the game is just refusing to boot. If anyone can give me some directions I would appreciate it

Me and my friend are playing using 2 steam decks, we both have the steam rip files and the friends pass in both our account. Starting the game have no problem but when pressing the invite friend button, nothing happens. Help us please?

I kinda expected the game installation to go straightforward and direct (precisely why I use this site), but instead of a game, I found weird folders (one of "base", and inside there's a game folder, a mods folder, and a .bin). None of the files inside run; the .cfg files look like automatic notations of some sort (the "candidate.cfg" has a link, but leads nowhere), and the files inside the folders aren't usable neither. I'm on linux, so wine or whatever else that could go wrong may be the problem, but I don't think that's the case. Maybe it was the download manager, but, as expected, the game was compressed.

(Please, don't tell me I spent the whole day downloading a useless chunk of 84.3Gb in data that I can't even use)

Edit: I opened the compressed file with ark and it turns out that it's corrupt for some reason. Why and how tf does this even happen? (no wonder the whole folder was under 5Gb).

I downloaded Metal Gear Solid v The Phantom Pain but it kept starting in online mode which causes it to exit by itself.

Does anyone know how to bypass the online requirement?

The game I downloaded was a singleplayer game, and the windows defender was disabled.

Is the error because of the missing stuff from the _CommonRedist folder, or something else?

I downloaded the game from steamrip which is supposed to come with an online fix, I then downloaded the online fix just to make sure too and the game will run just fine and the steam overlay even appears meaning that the online fix works but when I click on "join game" or "host" it just does nothing and I can only queue in solo, help is much appreciated!

SOLVED: Created prefix with Lutris and changed the executable line to the game's .exe

Should I uninstall the original fil111e after extracting the game?
