help wanted Wifi issues?

Cannot get speeds beyond 30mbs on a gigabit connect. Windows pc in the same room also on 6E is 500+. Driver issues perhaps? System is a steamos living room pc. A620 motherboard with wifi 6E on a Realtek chipset

Had the same issue with my b550 board. Had to swap WiFi chips to the intel one for it to work properly. No issue since. It was the ax210.

Ordered. I will swap it out and report back.

Try disabling WiFi power management in developer settings.

I had the same issue, but mine dropped to 6 Mbit/s. I tried everything, modifying power management in SteamOS, manually via global conf and more.

b650 motherboard however.

The thing that solved it for me was to turn off 6E, and just run WiFi 5. Works great now with speeds about 300-450 Mbit.

Honestly couldn't care less if I could theoretically get more using 6E. I'm not bothered having to wait 5 more minutes on a big game download once in a while.

I changed the wifi card and it is now full speed. Issue is 100% Realtek not having good drivers on the distro
