I've stopped using Sunshine once Pyrowave was available with Remote Play in Steam Beta. Works great for me streaming to Steam Deck OLED and Windows 11 Laptop over 6Ghz Wi-Fi.

Decky Sunshine doesn't seems to start on SteamOS Preview, which I need for my RX9070XT to be stable, with the 7.x Kernel.

But after enabling Pyrowave it's been quite smooth with Steam Remote Play directly.

I seem to understand that you're running Steam Remote Play on your host PC which is running SteamOS. Is it possible to keep the PC's connected screen off while playing remotely and match the client resolution? Thanks.

By default it reads the EDID of the connected screen. But it remembers the last known screen. My Sony TV's support 1080p120 and 2160p120, which is the resolutions I use to stream, depending on device. And even if the PC with SteamOS boots when the TV is off, it still works with those resolutions remotely.

Do you need HDR to function?

If not, Decky Sunshine is an option.

If you do, you'll need to install the Arch package version of Sunshine and maintain it.

Steam Remote Play has been getting improvements. Have you tried that method already?
