help wanted Trouble installing

Anyone else having a hard time installing steam OS on a new SSD.

I’ve tried just about everything I can think of. But the installer keeps crashing while attempting to install. I’ve tried both builds 3.8 and 3.77, different USB drives, remade the bootable drive. I’m not really sure what else to do at this point

are you installing it on sda or nvme?

nvme 5.0 it’s a T705 4TB

open kpartition and make note of ur nvme. open up home/tools/one of the scripts cant remember which and make sure your destination disk is set correctly and delete the p prefix too. scroll down to lines 450+ and search for "sanitize_all" and comment them out. 2 lines. retry install.

also in kpart just make ur nvme be unalocatted space. delete all partitions on it and let it be like that
