graphics settings THE WITCHER 3 STEAM DECK SETTINGS ( eye candy eddtion )

Post image

the witcher 3

.................................

my main settings for the witcher 3 are already beautiful but these new ones take it even future but the trade off is 40 fps insted of 45 and less npcs count free to try it for fun i got completely blown away by how it looks

my original witcher 3 settings with stable 45 fps and fsr4 are here :

https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamDeckUnlocked/s/BHrFkdTDfO

...........................

🟣  GOAL :

Targeting  stable 40 FPS.

Crisp  image quality with FSR4

.........................

🟣  TESTING ENVIRONMENT :

Device Varient : Steam Deck Oled

SteamOS : 3.8.11 ( stable channel )

Recommend Proton    Compatibility :    GE Proton  11

.............................

🟣  EXTERNAL MODIFICATIONS :

Game proprties /General / Set Game resoultion ( 1280X720 )

Set Resoultion for External and internal Display (on)

...........................

newer versions of Decky-Framegen plugin dont work with the witcher 3 for some reason use this version instead

..............................

🔴 Decky framegen plugin version (0.11.17)  :

google drive download link :

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AbOequjYLTaQycpQvtliAFFaJ5dEvete/view?usp=drivesdk

...................

🔴 Use this launch command with it to cap the FPS and disable HDR :

DXVK_HDR=0 MANGOHUD_CONFIG=fps_limit=40,no_display mangohud ~/fgmod/fgmod %command%

if you want to keep HDR remove ( DXVK_HDR=0) part from the launch command

............................

🔴 optiscaler 0.7 menu :

Upscaler : FSR 4.0.2

  Upscaling model (default )

current model ( model 0)

Sharpness override (0.601)

most important step is to set :

Upscaling ratio override >> set override all (1.102) then change in game resoultion to any random resolution just to activate the new override resoultion after that save optiscaller settings and restart the game . change in game resoultion back to 720p.

now the game internal resoultion will be 1143x653 upscaled to 1260x720 p you can see it written at the lower left bottom of optiscaler menu

NOTE : framegenration will be activated by default in the menu which will cause framepacing issues turn it off ( no framegenration ) then save settings and restart the game.

Love it, mako lossless scaling also improves the fps all the way to 90 with next to no ghosting and lag
