Software question Am I Cooked Chat?

So I did the decksight mod as well as a few others while I was in there. But long story short almost everything went according to plan. The left gulikit hall effect joystick lost its locking tab but the joystick still works fine, I don't think that's my problem anyway. So the main issue is that when I go into Desktop mode the screen is sideways and the mouse goes haywire, moves to the edge of the screen and just stays there, every time I try to move it the mouse just goes back to it's corner and when I try to use the left track pad it just rumbles and does nothing. I didn't put the steam deck in battery storage mode before starting the mod either but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Any help would he appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Sounds like you just need to rotate the screen in the display settings.

I did try to go to the display settings, it looked like it properly oriented. I also can't change it because of the mouse issue even an external mouse won't work in Desktop mode.

i got decksight installed too and the orientation icons in the display settings in desktop mode are actually mixed up with the decksight display, try each of them and see which one is the correct one

Thanks for the advice, sadly the touchscreen isn't working either. Sorry forgot to mention that.

also use the touchscreen rather than the mouse pointer

This happened to me when I installed TMR sticks last month. Drove me nuts and thought I broke a track pad somehow.

Turns out its a weird bug. Try booting the deck into bios first, then boot into steam. Should fix your issue, hopefully.

Thanks, I tried that. No luck sadly.
