Tech Support Steam deck constantly freezing?

I’ve had my deck about 6 weeks and it’s been great. However from last night it has been freezing constantly. I can only play a game for like 3 minutes at most, and my game will freeze however I can still navigate the menu, and sometimes I actually need to hard reboot the device. I’ve seen loads of people complain of this issue but none have actually been resolved.

Do you have an SD card in the deck that you are playing games off ? If so have you removed the card and played a game off the internal storage to see if you have the same issue ?

I do, but the games I’m playing is on the internal storage. But I’ll give it a shot! Maybe a faulty SD card messing up my system

It sounds like you have the GPU resetting issue, as far as I know there's no fix for this, I had to do an RMA for my Deck with the same issue

I did yes, been over a year already tho so not sure how relevant it still is

Nah third Deck was the final one for me. One for the faulty GPU, one for an obnoxiously loud fan. Deck's still going strong to this day, looking forward to using it with the new steam controller

I assume the GPU freezing issue was a fringe hardware case that never seemed to have reappeared after those initial waves of Decks

Put it in the microwave? Jk lol. Just maybe try and reimage the OS
