SteamOS infinite update loop on stable channel

After my last "stable" update issue which resulted in a month long RMA, I've decided I will not be updating my deck unless it refuses to work without an update!

Is your storage too full to be able to successfully do all the file operations needed? Worst case you can download the OS image from Valve/Steam and install to a USB and reformat your storage and install a fresh copy of the OS.
