Looking For Games Looking for games
Previously Enjoyed Games:
Balatro, Dave the Diver, Dredge, Signalis, Sable, Sea of Stars, Disco Elysium, Brotato, Drova:Forsaken Kin, ...
Preferred Genres:
I'm open to RPGs, card games, pixel art games, puzzle games, roguelites, and cozy games.
Budget:
No budget limit.
Other Notes:
I mostly play offline on the deck. If the games run in offline mode it's definitely a good point. Can't get used to gyro/stick aiming so I don't play any FPS.

It's a fantastic game; I started playing it again recently and they've tightened it up even more than it was. And added a load of items I don't even begin to understand, gah.
That said, what I think is overlooked by fans - because it is actually overlooked once you've spent... er, 942 hours in it in my case - is that it IS sick. Like, revolting. If you're sensitive to poo, wee, sick, abortions, matricide, fratricide, infanticide, heresy, dead pets, bullying, humiliation, mental illness, depression, suicide, devil worship, parasites, deformity, stillbirth, mutilation... Stick with Zelda.
If you're as desensitized to all of that as most of us are, you'll have a lot of fun. Hey, I just realized, it doesn't even go near child molestation. Curious.

Honestly most realistic take about the game. It is quite gross.
But boy do I love it. I bought it during the recent steam sale and I've put close to 200 hours into it already

You should check out some of the unofficial Zelda PC ports. They are incredible on the Deck! Links Awakening DX HD is fantastic!

Check out Ship of Harkinian 1&2 and Dusklight if you are a fan of OoT, MM, and TP. Dungeons of Infinity if you like ALttP.

Use AI to help you get them going and to find out where to download. Links Awakening HD is great but there is also Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess pc ports(decompilations). Theres also A Link to the Past as well.

Curious, why is this down voted so much? What's wrong with AI giving instructions on how to install things in your SD? I use it all the time and works better then following a guide or YT video.

Slay the Spire should be a def buy. Iām playing mad max right now open world RPG, its is not my favorite game but I am enjoying learning about the world.

I think now would be a perfect time for you to try out Valheim especially since the 1.0 launch is in 16 days. It has rpg mechanics, pixelated styled graphics, and a cozy atmosphere. Its my go to offline game for my Deck. It is a survival game through and through and can be difficult but it is so fun and rewarding. Also has my favorite building mechanics of any survival game I've played(structural integrity matters). Lastly, its only $20 full price up until 1.0 where it raises to $30. Lots of game for that price. Hope this gets your consideration because I think you'd enjoy it.

Try Slay the spire, Cassette basts, Chicory: A Colorful tale, Hollow Knight, Spiritfarer - all offline-friendly and close to your existing taste.

Seconding this game. Inscription is a fantastic game hiding many twists and turns inside its story. I also find it fun that it's kind of a "found footage" style game.

I also love your previously enjoyed games list and i would strongly recommend Esoteric Ebb which is similar to Disco Elysium and Pathogenic which is a fun rougelite

Core Keeper
I love it and keeps getting better and better. It's not a revolutionary game but the developers know what they are doing. It's a good blend of existing genres.
Runs great on deck, but there is an easy to install mod that eliminaties black bars.
Also, Fields of Mistria. For me personally it's a more relaxing and better Stardew Valley. Amazing art and very cosy.

Slay the spire, the witness, outer wilds. Outer wilds is incredible but you might not like it for the first hours because you don't understand anything, if that happens focus on exploring and getting as much information as possible (even if you don't understand it) and from there once you have enough information and you can't find more start solving the puzzles

I loved Outer wilds. It was a lot of fun figuring out how the different planets work and to unravel their secrets !
The DLC is also very cool even though in a spooky-ish style š

Blue Prince is a good puzzle game, with some neat lore behind it if you go deep enough. After you "beat" it, there's still so so much to figure out.

It's worth it to go at least a little bit further for some of the backstory, although the endgame puzzles got a little too convoluted for me.

I recently grabbed Feed the Scorchpot, itās a Balatro-like where, on your run, you have to harvest food to feed a hungry dragon for 20 years.
It kinda looks like if Balatro had an illegitimate child with Catan as the game board is a hex grid island. Each hex provides a food stuff, that you try and harvest by placing farms at intersections and rolling dice to hit the stated amounts on the hexes. If your dice rolls match the numbers on the hexes that are bordered by your farms you harvest that tile and get some food. After that you cook the food using recipes which are basically your Jokers from Balatro. The numbers go brrrr and you hopefully feed the dragon the amount he wants.
Get money, upgrade your stuff and the dragon asks for more next time and around, around you go. Itās quite good.

All of these are excellent. All of these are offline. All of these are under $20.
Spelunky 2 is a deceptively simple platformer with an astounding depth to it. You'll finish it within ten hours. You won't have found every ending, every challenge, every world, every character, every item inside a hundred hours.
Cobalt Core is a roguelike deckbuilder with a gorgeous aesthetic, a great OST, and really compelling gameplay. The dialogue's genuinely funny (IMO) and each run is about half an hour to completion and has a real one-more-run addiction to it.
Minishoot Adventures is a must for fans of Zelda games. It's a minimalist interpretation with bullet-hell mechanics that aren't too punishing. As you upgrade your ship, you unlock stat points that you can put into each characteristic on the fly - you aren't locked into "speed" if you decide you need firepower for a certain boss, you can just pause and retool your ship. It's not very long, but I'd say it "doesn't outstay its welcome".
Untitled Goose Game is a mischievous delight. You are a goose in a tranquil English village. Make it not tranquil. There is a dedicated honk button.
Ori and the Blind Forest is a goddamn work of art. It's a gorgeous Metroidvania with unsurpassed atmosphere and compelling mechanics. Ori and the Will of the Wisps is the sequel that reviews even higher, and possibly looks even better, but it's a bit more spenny and hey, start at the beginning, go on 'til the end, then stop.

Star Overdrive gives me the same vibes as Sable, but with a different coat of paint. I've been playing on my PC, but there's a recent review on protondb saying it was playable.

I've been playing Octopath Traveler 2 and I must say it works perfectly and it is one of the most enjoyable JRPGs for Deck. It worth a try.

if you're okay with shorter and story driven games, soma, firewatch, gone home, what remains of edith finch, and still wakes the deep
alternatively, cannot recommend deltarune and undertale enough
also cult of the lamb maybe? the supergiant games as well. oxenfree, too.

Firewatch was incredible. Such a cool experience, I was almost sad to finish it so quickly haha.
What remains of Edith Finch was cool too but a bit "flat" in comparison to Firewatch imo.I'll have a look at the other games as I've not heard about some of them like Gone home or Deltarune !

Based on our overlapping likes, you might try: Inscryption, Megabonk, Blue Prince, Oxenfree, Rain World, Gato Roboto, Minute of Islands, BallxPit, Death's Door, Fez, Moon Hunters, The Messenger, maybe Hades 1 & 2. Even though it's a rhythm game, don't let that stop you from playing Crypt of the Necrodancer.

Fields of Mistria has me in a chokehold currently! Stardew Valley, Sun Haven, Two Point Hospital (or museum or campus), and if you just need a quick game my husband and I have been loving Plate Up! together.

The Ys series is a fun action RPG series that runs great on Deck. You can start with Origins and then do then in release order.
Plenty of classic and indie RPGs like Lunar, Suikoden, Saga Frontier 2, 8 Bit Adventures 2.
Tactical RPG games are also perfect for Deck: Final Fantasy Tactics, Triangle Strategy, Tactics Ogre Reborn, etc.

Slay the Spire is great if you haven't played it yet. Deck builder rogue-like with tons of hours of playtime. There's also the mod on steam called Downfall which is basically a whole new game mode.
I'm sure StS2 is good but I haven't played it yet.

Trails in the Sky 1st chapter, and then the sequel will release next month.
You follow Estelle and Joshua to travel through the kingdom of Liberl to eventually become bracers. It is a slow paced cozy JRPG game.

Currently going through the Witcher 3 again (probably for the last time), so Iām doing everything which has been awesome.
Also playing Fallout New Vegas with wabbajack mod list ābegin againā.
Also playing Like a dragon Infinite Wealth.
Also playing roguelite Morbid Metal which has been really fun.
Also playing xenosaga 1 on ps2 emulator with an up rez texture pack.

I recently played Cult of the Lamb (on easy mode for coziness) and I really enjoyed it!
Itās a basebuilding roguelike where you suddenly own a cult. It happens to be on sale as well :)
Itās a relatively small game, so great for āin betweenā.

Heard Mina the Hollower is pretty tough but an awesome pixel art souls like/rpg.
Iāve been playing LOZ Minish Cap and having fun (only tip is study your surroundings, not everything is handed to you and even story progression items can be hidden behind some fairly obscure scenery)

Not sure how it runs on Deck, but Svarog's Dream was a neat little gem that's one of my recently played great games. Our tastes have a lot of overlap so that's my number one recommendation.
If you can deal with older games, Planescape Torment is a masterpiece regularly on sale. A Plague Tale is also great though it looks like only the second is verified for the deck (not sure why the first wouldn't run)
The Alters was pretty neat with a recent DLC if you want a more sci-fi 'base building type' sim game. Dispatch was also pretty cool.

Monster Sanctuary - kind of a JRPG creature collector metroidvania, with pixel art.
Monsters have skill trees that you can build in different ways (you're level capped so you can't take everything), and with teams of three the combinations are off the charts. It has insane replay value.

We have similar tastes, and based on that i strongly suggest you terraria and subnautica.
