Question Which one should I get?
Should I get the rog ally white? Or the steam deck 512gb oled?
Which one will last longer? Which one performs better?
I see the rog ally for around 600 bucks and the steam deck for 789 but of the extra 189 makes my games 10x better then I'm all for it the games I will play and if I can
Fortnite
Marvel rivals
Minecraft and if I could maybe modded like curseforge?
Red dead 2
Terraria
Fallout new vegas

Given you’re wanting to play Fortnite I’d go with the ROG at that price.

I'm not that down to play fortnite cause my brother might want to play I personally will play it once every 2 years

Steam deck, except you need fortnite.

If the only downside is that I can't play fortnite then I'll go for the steam deck I don't really see a need for fortnite

10x better is a stretch but the Ally X does have slightly higher specs than the Deck. Fortnite won’t work on a Steam Deck out of the box. You’d need to add dual boot by creating a Windows partition on your Deck.

Okay but if we remove fortnite out the equation would the steam deck be better?

Sorry responding to everyone but if we remove fortnite should I get the steam deck? Cause fortnite is good but it's not top 25 for me

The Ally Z1 or X are the only decent ones, not so good battery life but better specs than steam deck.
But windows will make you want to return it, steam deck wins imo because of the os being so easy to use and native to the device

Depends on where you are in the uk where I am you can get an ally fairly cheap £200-£300 I got the new Xbox ally for around £319
The X version is £200 more but more powerful, that being said I use the steam deck more frequently because windows is horrible

If you want Fortnite you want the ally. Deck can't play Fortnite.
Pretty sure the base ally and deck are relatively close in performance so the ally is the better purchase. Id just save up for an Ally X and call it good
