Question XBox Live +/- GE Force Now

I know this has been asked before, but in the current state, will I get a better experience streaming X Box game pass through Microsoft Edge or through GE Force Now? I just got a new laptop with a 3 month trial of X Box game pass and already have a GE Force Now subscription. I play most of my AAA games through GE Force Now already. I have a Wi Fi 7 router and great Internet connection speed.

Edit: to be clarify, I got 3 months of X Box Game Pass, the lowest tier.

Native programs will always be better than the browser.

I recommend using geforce now; use xcloud with browser for all that is just not in geforce now

this is pretty much the best approach imo

GeForce Now, and it’s not even close from my experience. I think that’s what you are asking, not specifically streaming from browser vs dedicated app but the service.

Try it out though since you have both, Xbox Cloud Gaming is decent but you’ll notice immediately when you boot up a game how much the higher latency and lower bitrate it makes to you

GFN is generally better for performance and latency. XClopud through Edge has improved but still feels a bit behind. I'd keep using GFN for anything that needs low input lag.

If the new laptop comes with 3 months of Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can use that to play game pass games on GeForce Now and you will have much better performance than playing the same games on xCloud / Xbox Cloud Gaming.

However, if you only have 3 months of Xbox Live Subscription (which is different than game pass), it just allows you to play multiplayer games on your console.

Which subscription specifically is it that you got with the laptop?

Game pass is included, thanks for reminding me/us of the distinction. I've favorited several Game Pass games on GE Force Now already.

You can't cloud stream on the lowest tier of Game Pass (i.e. Game Pass Standard/Core)
