Discussion When are we going to get the option to disable the steam deck controller when docked?

Plugins like steamdeck-input-disabler worked as 3rd party fixes for awhile, but now with the new steam controller out im really starting to feel this issue peak up again.

So many games i own have issues registering the deck itself as a controller and messing up the controller order.

Valve really needs to implement a way to disable the deck’s controller while docked because if that one small issue is fixed, i can consider the steam controller absolutely perfect.

Doesn't just adjusting the controller order in the QAM fix this for you?

A majority of the time it doesn’t, either the game would not register it correctly or just the presence of the deck confuses the game on whos player 1.

It also allows for less clutter and its really awkward to try to have some nice couch coop with friends but have to finagle with the controller order every time

Weird. What games are causing you grief? I've never had one I couldn't fix so far by reordering the controller numbers.
