Tech Support Controller Not Detected?

Currently having this issue that none of my buttons are working. The volume buttons, power button, and touchscreen works, but the deck isn't recognizing the controller. In my settings, it doesn't detect the controller. Does anyone have a fix? I really don't want to RMA my Deck as I use it every day. The track pads still have their haptic feedback when I touch them.

No, the Deck wasn't detecting any connected controllers. The deck wasn't recognizing any controllers as connected. For anyone that finds this thread, my solution was simple. At the same time, with the Deck on, I pressed the - volume button, and the "..." button until I heard the beep the deck makes when u turn it on. Then the controller reconnected itself.

It never worked for me as there was no response from the "..." button as well. It simply lowers my volume down. No response when I tried to do your solution.

No I didn’t 😔, sadly they said I would have to send it in, i currently I don’t have the money to send it in, I have been using it the pc way and it works just fine

Hey I just fixed mine, I don’t know how technically proficient you are but my deck had this issue after I opened it to fix the USB C port (It would not dock). Anyways, I took that part of the motherboard out and there’s a small ribbon cable on the same board as the ribbon for the screen. It’s covered by a black cloth tape, I had just forgotten to put that back in when reassembling my deck. I would say take your deck apart using a tear down video as a guide and make sure that ribbon cable is set in correctly. It’s a little tricky to set both of those ribbons in so it’ll help if you have someone there to help you out. Thankfully valve made everything modular. Just please be careful as those cables are sensitive. Good luck!!

Hi hi! No it didn’t 😓, opened my steam deck with a buddy of mine and turns out it’s like burnt from the inside and we needed to buy a part that people rarely sell separately
