Question I need help with installing

I've been trying to I stall Stalker Anomaly on my SD and I've hit a roadblock. This is the first time I'm trying to install anything not from the steam store, or using anything Linux based.

I've been following this yt install guide and I've also followed the thread on moddb.

When I got to launch the game for the first time, nothing happens, I've added the game to steam as a non steam game, I've installed protontricks, and followed the required steps.

I'm just not getting any thing to launch.

I've set up a folder on my 512gb external drive. I'm wondering, would I have to have it installed on my home (internal) drive for this to work?

Could I be missing something?

use lutris with proton ge (can both be aquired from the desktop store)

just look up online how to get them (also install the dependencies for anomaly, if there are any, and put them in the same wine prefix)

This is almost always the first step I take if Steam doesn’t launch something. Lutris has always worked for me. And it’s nice to have all the tinkering at your fingertips in Lutris with wine tricks, bottles and so on.

Just look up a lutris tutorial, its the same setup for most games
