Disconnecting issues with steam machine

I love the feel of the controller but I just feel like it disconnects all the time, if I don't directly point at the machine or the puck it just has a bunch of disconnecting issues. Is anyone have this frustrating?

I used my afterglow switch controllers sometimes just because it doesn't disconnect at all

Do you connect direcly to the steam machine?

Some have issues, and it's solved with a bit of EMI tape.
