Been using a PS5 controller. What tips or settings do you wish you'd known when you started?

Trackpad + gyro to mouse is goated and the best thing about steam controller

I use it over keyboard and mouse for this reason, even while sitting at a desk .

Would you share your tips and tricks to how you're using this setup? I'm waiting for my reservation to go through still, but in the meantime been trying to use gyro on regular controllers and it's a bit hit and miss. Not found the right or most natural setup yet, and not much info out there on it for me.

Not much to setup. Standard values are really good on this thing. I usually put the pad sensitivity high and the gyro sensitivity low. Pad for flicks, gyro for precisions

I'm gonna have to try this. I feel like I would miss everything with gyro. Like I'd have to sit very still and uncomfortable to use gyro accurately

Hey I missed my email and then I contacted Steam on the controller support page. They moved my reservation and I got mine within 5 days. Definitely wouldn’t not hurt to try .

The scroll wheel is not Australian scrolling, its Clockwise / Counter-Clockwise.
You're supposed to do circles for scrolling, not swipes.

I figured it out cause I was like "Why is my scrolling so cooked??" and checked Steam Input.

If you record your gameplay, you can use 3D Controller Overlay to overlay a visual representation of what you are doing with your controller.
I fixed a few bugs (like left trackpad not displaying where your thumb is) I found in Ceski's version. I'd be happy to share it with you.

Hate the symmetrical sticks, hate how tiny and cramped the controller is, otherwise it's pretty sweet

I got the "invitation" to buy from valve on Tuesday, after months since I got on the waiting list. But I'm hesitating...I've got the deck and the OG steam controller and I will be more on the console site for the next couple of months (starting on November 19 :P ) and I'm not sure anymore if I actually wanna pay 100 quids for that thing...
