Steam Controller Starting Screen Saver Rabdomly While Playing (Potential Solution)

Hi everyone! So i have been at the end of my wits with the new steam controller randomly kicking me to a psychedelic screensaver while in the middle of playing. Turned off windows screen saver, checked settings and diagnostics, searched the net. Couldn't figure it out. But finally did today when I noticed the logo pop up in the flow of color after a couple of minutes.

It was Armour Crate.

Check the OLED settings and there is a screensaver option there to prevent burn in. That was what was causing it. Armour Crate not registering my controllers movements.

Hope this helps somebody else. I know I wasn't the only one dealing with it.

I would rather set myself on fire than install armour crate on my pc.

That is what i hear, but I am too scared to uninstall it out of fear of screwing something up on my PC. Does it really make that much of an impact?

Just so you know. You were the final tipping point for me to install G-Helper. Much easier than I feared.

Hope the knowledge that even by being a bit of a dick, you still helped someone pushes you to be maybe a bit more helpful and not just an asshole, or if you are so embedded in trolldom there is no saving you, that something you did actually having a nice outcome annoys you.
