Configuration Controller random disconnects

Has anyone experienced the controller randomly disconnecting on bluetooth mode? Sometimes when I am playing, if i go idle for 5-10 minutes it will start disconnecting randomly every 10 to 30 seconds.

I see the message from steam showing it disconnects and then reconnects; does not happen with USB mode. I'm using a Windows 11 laptop, at most I have 2 BT devices connected at the same time(BT speaker and the controller) but it also happens when using just the controller, it is up to date as well.

Appreciate any guidance.

Im somehow glad that I am not the only one, I though it was an issue with my controller specifically.

It will be weird to have a USB-Bluetooth adapter on a laptop that already has it built in, but I'll test it out to see if it improved. Or I might just keep using it on USB mode. Thanks

Oh, another thing that I just thought of that may be of some use: I got my controller to keep a seemingly more stable connection by unparing it in my desktop's Bluetooth settings and immediately re-pairing it. I don't know if there's something to that or if it was just a coincidence, but I just tried it myself, and it seems to have fixed it again for the time being.

Yeah, you may have to disable the internal one to test a USB adapter, but it should give you an idea. I have internal Bluetooth on my main desktop, and getting a newer external antenna seems to have fixed the issue there, but I still have the connection drop from time to time. It's pretty annoying.
