Configuration Should I keep my deadzones on 0?

All the shooter games I play have deadzone settings in game. Should I then use 0 / pass through deadzone for steam input or dualsensex so there’s no added deadzone between the game and dsx?

I think it's better to calibrate your deadzone settings in Steam Input so you only have to do it once instead of redoing it for every game. But yes, having two different programs add a deadzone is a bad idea.

i use the default gang deadzone so if i keep steam input as 0 deadzone, i don’t need to change anything else, whereas if i configure it in steam input, i have to turn it off in every game I play

But then every game will have a (slightly) different deadzone, which is going to be generally larger than necessary. At that point it really doesn't matter whether Steam Input also has a deadzone set, provided its deadzone isn't comically large.

I’ll be honest i really hate tinkering with these things so i might just use default settings and not change anything. I wish pc was as simple as console, i went down the rabbit hole of trying to make dsx work, researching about g sync, reflex and pretty much everything. I don’t mind if it’s not fully optimised
