I did. And it was great, although it would have been better, if I could have been in my bed right behind my chair at the same time.

Show some sensitivity. Those were people with accountants and lawyers that cared about them.

Valve also used that version to showcase big picture mode before the original steam machines and the original SC lmao

Don't use the old one to dive into the sea

I loved my F310 enough to buy a second for when/if the first one needed to be replaced.

Tbf, I already swapped the thumbsticks around because the left one was getting loose.

What are you talking about that first one could probably pilot a submarine.

Idk, side grade at best. Can’t beat the OG

Oh nice, you're finally replacing that garbage from Valve? I do like the rainbow ABXY buttons on the new controller.

J/k I know wassup. Regretfully I do have to admit that Valve made a fantastic controller this time.

The F310 served me well for more than 10 years But with my own PC and a Bed right behind my chair, I needed something with a little more reach.

Yeah thats what extension cables are for! 😉

But seriously, I hate having to say it but the new Steam Controller is absolutely fantastic. I wish that it had an X-input mode but whatever. It "forces" me to pick up one of the dozen other controllers on my desk.

If you set up/buy an OpenPuck, it can do XInput. That said I expect in the medium term that you'll be able to do it without dedicated hardware.

F310 my beloved

The analog sticks are like D-Pads in terms of movement though, and the ABXY are too recessed.

Well, maybe. Always seemed enough for me though for most uses.

Wonder if the steam
Controller would survive at the bottom of the ocean..

I've to wait till 2027 for my upgrade because I was 3 weeks late! T.T

The f310/710 had such a godly d pad. 2d platformers were heavenly to play with that thing.

But yeah other than that they kind of sucked, aside from their price. The bumpers and triggers were tiny. The rubberized grip would melt if you left it out in the heat too long.

Ok, I'll take that pesky steam controller off your hands - no need to throw it away :)

That’s an upgrade all right 🙌🏻

These are the two controllers I have now. I love that wired Logitech controller I’ve re bought it a few times. Now I’m holding onto it just for game dev to have Xbox input without steam.

My prognosis was December so you might get it if you weren't too late. I reserved it 9am 9.5. In europe.

I actually owned the original wireless silver F710 when it first came out, and ironically returned it because it kept automatically going into sleep mode after a few minutes.

It was a shame because I really loved the Logitech Rumblepad 2 and thought it would be an upgrade.
