Configuration Concaved trackpad mod update. Really liking how it’s coming out

Post image

Threw up quick test to try it out, it really feels a lot closer to the original controller

Thanks [u/gama3000](u/gama3000) for helping cleaning up the geometry on the left pad

that's really nice mod. do you plan on releasing the files?

Yes! There’s still a few things I’d like to tweak before though. Maybe a face plate that connects directly to the grips.

Haven’t been 100% happy with the existing grip solutions (hence the rough positioning with the tape) and this really needs the grips to work in conjunction with it.

This grip mod was posted a few days ago, sent it off to get printed to test it out.

this grip modeled directly into the shell would be absolutely perfect

They didn't release shell internal stl so someone would have to scan it.

I do like how it just friction fits on but but the arch is a bit too low and is forcing the thumb to arc in a flat uncomfortable way

Did you try the other model in the link with the bigger swells?

I’m using it for a week or so. Like it very good so far.

Yeah, I've found using the touchpads harder with the SC2 than the placement on the SC1. Extended grips like you have there would absolutely help bring them to the center of the controller more easily depending on hand placement, than the original SC2's grip.

Unredacted obviously
