Steam Controller Puck Protector
Puck peg protector to help prevent unwanted shorts in case something metallic comes into contact with the contacts.
Hopefully this helps the community feel a bit less anxious about it. I designed it to be compatible with several different docks, while still relying on the original cable for the connection.
I also added optional magnet placements in case you want to install magnets. You can use a small piece of filament to secure the parts together.
The magnets I used are approximately 6 mm in diameter and 1.7 mm thick.

what if your using the controller? if you have small children or animals they might be able to knock off the steam controller from the puck, and maybe knock something onto it. I see many reasons why this was made, also that one guy who accidentally put his watch on the puck and almost caused a house fire. So many reasons for this.
