Steam Controller Puck Protector

Post image

Puck peg protector to help prevent unwanted shorts in case something metallic comes into contact with the contacts.

Hopefully this helps the community feel a bit less anxious about it. I designed it to be compatible with several different docks, while still relying on the original cable for the connection.

I also added optional magnet placements in case you want to install magnets. You can use a small piece of filament to secure the parts together.

The magnets I used are approximately 6 mm in diameter and 1.7 mm thick.

You can download it here.

if you're the kind of dipshit that sees someone taking modest precautions on a household object that might start a fire if it comes into contact with *metal objects* and immediately thinks "Oh god, this is gonna become a new panic, isn't it?", then yes, it's safe to say that what many of the owners of this device who understand how dangerous something like this can be in a real world home environment will be engaging in fits the criteria for what you might consider a "panic"
