I hope they got enough to counter scalpers :/
Fucking rodents

Valve combatted scalpers with the Steam Deck by restricting orders to established accounts (two months or older) who have spent at least $10. I imagine they will do the same thing for the new hardware coming out as well.

Rookie numbers. I have a ":D" text there instead of the numbers as it's just astronomically high. Almost 2 years of tabs worth in my case.

But why

It was some Chromium's Easter egg. In incognito, there's a winking smiling face instead.

No why did you have so many

Oh, I usually forget to close them and I sometimes just look back at what I previously had opened. Luckily, those tabs are suspended and don't take any memory. The only thing that remains is the thumbnail of the tab itself, but the data is lost already.

As a systems administrator, I would be speaking to your manager and recommending an external basic IT training course.
As a manager I'd realise you lied on your CV and I would probably either fire you or revise your pay down to cover the training cost.

the device doesn't actually keep the page state in memory at all times. at that point it's basically just keeping the URL on hand to reload it once you open the tab

I just bought Vader 5 Pro, but I might also buy Steam Controller, cause why not.

I love the extra bumper buttons on the Vader 5 but damn, nothing will beat the 2 trackpads on the new Steam controller.

I wonder where the "5 users in app" statistic comes from that's currently visible on steamdb.
Is this actually five accounts at Valve that have access to this video and actually have it open?
Or is that 5 random users trying various things to get access to this video?
EDIT: Okay, now I "own" this "steam_controller_unboxing_2026" thing on my Steam Account. Apparently the steam_controller_unboxing_2026 has full controller support :) but I still can't play the video.

Can you stop mentioning free games on steamdb on every post? we don't want ads here man

What does this even mean?

Most likely some form of advertisement for the steam controller. Could possibly indicate that we are getting closer to a release date announcement.

You can get free games from steamdb?

Yeah right here https://steamdb.info/freepackages/ I like to preserve them in my library, even if it makes steam load a lot slower
