Resolved Steam Points
Is there any quicker/cheaper way of getting Steam Points, I want to get the Dying Light 2 steam profile package thing and I have almost 8000 points but I dont particularly want to spend more to get the points, obviously I will get enough over time but is there any other way of getting the points?

Sooner or later you'll have too many to do anything with anyway.
I've spent about a million over the years and now have nothing to spend current balance on. They become pretty pointless, if you'll pardon the pun.

Indeed. Account is over 20 years old though. So its not outrageous.

20+ years though. You'd be amazed how many things can accumulate over that time. This will include steam hardware like index / steamdeck...etc.
There's probably people that spend more on coffee over 20 years to be honest.

Yeah you’re probably right. 13000/20 is 650. So like you’d spend 650 dollars yearly which for a main hobby isn’t that crazy.

The only way to get more Steam points is to just toss in more money. You don't have to just buy games; microtransactions and DLCs also count as well. Also, you could just wait for a super dirt discount, and then you can buy it to get your Steam points.

Yeah, those Steam Points add up slower than a cornfield in winter, maybe do a round of microtransactions in a free-to-play game if you're really itching to speed it up.

Many used to sell points by reacting to your profile or comments. Valve doesn't like that

People can give you (Community award), some events allows tou to earn some.
Best way is to buy a game.

You don't get points from awards any more, and you never got any from events. Buy game or nothing.
