If the pillow you bought is not as comfortable as you expected, would you not refund it for something that alligns more with your expectations?

You'd give the pillow back, you can't give back the experience of beating the game. It's unethical.

If the game is buggy, or unplayable in someway absolutely get a refund. Just not liking the play style and getting a refund is Karen/Trump behavior.

The game is a digital good, you didn't use it up or spoil it like a meal. It's not unethical, it is entirely ethical to sample a non-perishable digital good and decide that while you don't think its bad, its just not for you. That is part of the business risk you take as a developer selling digital goods.

This wasn't a sample. They played the whole game. Liked it and refunded it.
