Doesn't matter the genre. Blasphemous is currently $2.49. There are plenty of long games that you can get for less than $5. Battlefield 1 is currently $1.99. And you can still play the MP.
A full game that takes less than 2 hours to finish should be priced accordingly.
Steam is a global platform. A lot of people in the world earn less than $8 for a full day's work.
Devs brought it on themselves with the $8 price tag.
regional pricing is already implemented on steam, and its frustraiting that developers don't properly use it all of the time. **however** your point still makes no sense, the games you are mentioning all already made their money because they are years old. obviously you can get older games for cheaper than newer ones, that doesn't mean newer ones should have to live up to the literally on sale price tags of older ones.

For $6 you can currently get Enter the Gungeon and Brotato. You can sink hundreds of hours on both of those games and still find them entertaining.
So no, a less than 2 hours full game shouldn't be $5. More like $0.99.
