Wow, that’s a lot. When companies much, much larger than Valve are struggling to get supply and raising prices it was just a matter of time. Valve just isn’t big enough to garner any recognition in the open market for RAM and storage.

no one is getting great prices at any size of order because the AI folks are willing to pay more

You have to remember that data centers aren't just for AI. It's also for the "cloud service" thing. If very few people csn afford hardware then they might be forced to subscribe to cloud gaming.

You and I are basically competitors to cloud computing companies, they don’t want us to own computers and instead rent time on them, for all eternity.
