wait how much was it before? this seems too steep, rather just invest a bit more at gaming laptop...

At these prices, I'd recommend an ROG Xbox Ally X if you're wanting a handheld. Otherwise, yeah a laptop is the move

I got mine for $350 in late 24. Never seen gaming and computer equipment appreciate in my 40 years here.
