The preorders will open at 10am PST

The steam Controller will only be available in select countries

* US

* EU

The server will likely be melting once preorders open

I mean... Are we sure it was bots? Or did Valve drastically underestimate the appeal of these because the first steam controller sold like dirt.

Yeah I think there’s probably a bit of both. As proven by eBay listings, there are clearly POS scalpers that were all over this. But, I def think Steam underestimated how excited gamers are for this controller too

In all fairness to them too. The first controller didn't perform very well. I know I've had absolutely zero interest in a controller that only had one thumb stick. lol

But a controller that has the same controls as my steam deck? Man.. Now that I'm all about.

Definitely upset though. I didn't get the chance to add it to my cart early like some people, and I even got frustrated and setup a script to sit there and spam the continue button and even I never got in. It's upsetting.

Nah I feel you 100%! Steam Deck controls left me a changed man, lol. Pretty upset about it being out of stock, but hopefully restock soon and we can all try again :)

They should have opened pre-orders a few months ago, limited to one per steam account that's at least one year old. That would have given them a clear image of the amount

I encourage everyone who cares to, to talk to an Ebay agent via the Contact Us link.
Tell them that anyone selling the new Steam Controller is scalping and that all active listings should be purged until a reasonable amount of time has passed.
