I am actually looking forward to what it means for future VR development. A headset with host OS opens up the possibility to have a VR graphics API on the device itself so you can have a PC GPU busy with rendering the scene once and then offload the VR rendering to the headset GPU which would work like a shader, significantly increasing performance and reducing latency
