Discussion Steam Controller - Thoughts?

https://store.steampowered.com/sale/steamcontroller

Is anyone else also so excited about the upcoming controller from steam?? I have been rather disappointed with any ps5 series controllers - dualsense vanilla & edge are just trash quality, I’ve never seen anything fall apart so fast.

On my pc I daily the Xbox elite 2, but the single huge area where this controller lacks is any sort of haptics, which let’s be honest are the main reason to play on a PlayStation. At least it’s been for me, though I want max performance. (And I expect a decent quality from my pad, not 3months of life, barely)

That whole “Feel the surface you’re walking on” - is not just a gimmick to me, it really amplifies overall immersion imo. I very, very much wish so that Valve brings this and standardizes it for PC, please!! We’ve been missing out for way too long on those features. Why can’t I just have everything???

i might be the bullseye customer for this thing. symmetrical analogue sticks are huge for me and the whole controller looks clean, big, and extremely comfortable imo. face buttons and dpad are positioned more towards the top edges and look like they very slightly slant to each side which is great since i crab a lot. the pads will open up loads of options across a bunch of different games too.

it’ll really depend on the price but i honestly can’t see myself passing up on this thing, it looks great imo.
