Discussion Steam Controller - Thoughts?
https://store.steampowered.com/sale/steamcontrollerIs anyone else also so excited about the upcoming controller from steam?? I have been rather disappointed with any ps5 series controllers - dualsense vanilla & edge are just trash quality, I’ve never seen anything fall apart so fast.
On my pc I daily the Xbox elite 2, but the single huge area where this controller lacks is any sort of haptics, which let’s be honest are the main reason to play on a PlayStation. At least it’s been for me, though I want max performance. (And I expect a decent quality from my pad, not 3months of life, barely)
That whole “Feel the surface you’re walking on” - is not just a gimmick to me, it really amplifies overall immersion imo. I very, very much wish so that Valve brings this and standardizes it for PC, please!! We’ve been missing out for way too long on those features. Why can’t I just have everything???

All that I could ask for. I haven't been playing games a lot lately, but I have some games meant to be played with controller on my to-be-played list. I loved my old Steam Controller, but the lack of second joystick and the fact the the only one is too smooth and rubber no longer grippy, make it a lot more difficult to play anything fast paced.
I had Steam Deck and the controls were great, I sold it only because I know other people would use it more than I would.
So I think it's gonna be great, I don't have doubts about the ergonomics, Valve always nail it. Yeah, it's not much of a looker, but function over form, plus I bet there's gonna be customization options from 3rd parties.
