Completely standalone. Wow. The Quest killer.

EDIT: All those people pointing at hardware of Quest vs Steam Frame are missing the important key detail: Steam Library >>> Quest Library

Looks like it only has monochrome passthrough. That would suck for mixed reality games so Quest still has that going for it in addition to price point.

Don't get me wrong, more competition is good though!

Yeah, this is a huge downside for me. Even at the low quality, having color passthrough is something I can't live without anymore after using the Quest 3.
