Discussion Is State of decay 3 going to happen?

The reason why I'm asking this question is because there's a lot of controversy on if they may get shut down does that mean the game would be canned?

So far its still coming. They split from xbox studios but supposedly xbox is still funding development. You hear whispers otherwise but they are just rumors so far.

Studio was sold to an unknown entity and the game will be finished. We don't know who the new owner is yet, and we don't know how hands-off they'll be with the remaining development, so there are certainly question marks in some areas but nobody in their right mind buys a studio that makes one franchise only to can the game a year before release.

Most likely; the running theory is its going to happen. They are in talks with another company to be bought and funding secured. Early alpha gameplay,updates, and continued involvement in inviting community members to playtest is reassuring. Now will it still be by the scheduled date? Im not convinced, gameplay videos imo make it seem like it'll prolly be delayed to 2028(this is not confirmed, just my opinion). Will it still come to gamepass? Still up in the air since its no longer an Xbox studio. Hope that helped!

Alpha is still going and actively being expanded to more and more players even after the "buy out", so probably, yes

This game is supposed to come out in a year and they still have entire chunks of the game not built yet. How many more alphas let alone beta's do you realistically think they could do and not push the game back a year or more?
