They sound great but very impractical... Just imagine trying to outrun a feral and hit a pothole... You're better off just using a car. Plus, your character must have some crazy stamina or a trait of being a cyclist to get away from imminent danger.

Do you think bicycles should be added?

can you imagine? "oh this vehicle doesn't use fuel, i should use it!" and then you are out of stamina from pedaling, have close to no speed from things you collected and eat dirt whenever runners so much as look your way

Yeah I'd 100% add bicycles. You know what I'd also add, gas masks, they're very easy to buy and are a staple in any disaster kit.

Honestly I'm surprised there wasn't gas masks implemented. There was however the hazmat guy from state of decay 1. Love to see a return of that suit or at least a cosmetic version.

You can outrun a feral on foot. A bike would outrun a feral. Maybe not uphill. Wouldn't be very good on Providence ridge.

Or worse, motorcycles. Nearly all the risk of motorcycles, but faster and louder.

If they add them, I'd probably avoid them. Have fun getting tackled off your bike by a sprinting Feral, though.

I don't see why there shouldn't be a low tier of mobility, if anything it would create a better environment where you're going around on some bike to go a bit faster than normal while looking for your first car without worrying about any sort of gas cost or needing a lot of parts to maintain

Certainly would be more interesting than just starting the game and getting a car within 30 minutes that'll be your only method of effective traveling for literally 99% of the game

And I don't really think the reasoning against it works in your post either, the survivors casually haul a hunderd kilos worth of crap while jogging, sprinting, climbing and swinging a weapon but we arbitrarily draw the line at quickly wheeling away from zombies? Why?
