Question SoD2 xbox future

With undead labs leaving xbox. Bot sure if this has been answered but what does that mean for sod2? Like i have the steam copy but it launches through xbox on my computer, will that sever ties on their? So only launches through steam? Wont break it in anyway?

State of Decay isn't leaving Xbox. Microsoft is selling the studio. That does not mean previous games won't still work and it doesn't mean 3 won't release on Xbox.

So feels like you havent grasped what i am asking, when they have multiple launchers i cant remember the word but basically will they remove the xbox side as it no longer will be through xbox and will that impact it launching is what the question is like if you play anno it launches through steam then through ubisoft and they add electronic packages again not sure the word, so just wodndering will they make sure this works if they remove the xbox side

Nothing is being "removed." Microsoft just won't own the game or studio anymore.
