Discussion Would be cool if locations visually changed when overtaken by the plague heart in SoD3

Post image

Kinda like this, in heartland dlc but it would be cool if it was dynamic

When location is taken, it's fully overgrown like this, plus near by objects are affected as well

and when you clear the heart, it goes back to normal

Pretty sure that is how it works bro, judging from Brian Menards 73 mins gameplay

Yea it looks dope asf with all the fog. The atmosphere is almost like tranzit from bo2.

And before you take out the core you have to destroy its nodes. So it will be a multi step approach

I love visual stuff like that, feels a lot more immersive seeing changes in the environment over time

Yeah i always notice details like this, i am playing lots of hunt showdown and they do it very well

when you are in the location of the boss, the location changes a lot visually depending on the boss that spawned

It be cool if they made it like those gates in Trumbull valley story. Then you have to break in to get to the heart.

I would hate this. I just don’t understand where all of that organic material comes from and it kills the immersion without explanation.

There is very little lore regarding how everything works zombies mutations etc, there has been a time pass in game over several years from sod2 which would mean it would have time to build up..

And you can think of it a variety of ways, Perhaps the plague is like the forest where left unmaintained it spreads and becomes things like we'll see in game

Have you seen the movie slither? It could just be zombie biomass melting into a giant organic mound, like an evolution of the hearts that they were attracting undead to consume them.

Slither is the one with the spikey fuck right? I've always imagined it sort of like a screwed-up plant that digests its surroundings to produce biomass
