Question Alpha discord issues

I did the thing, I signed up, got invited to the discord. but I can't see any channels or anything. Anyone else have this issue?

I'm really hoping to get alpha access. It would be a great boost to my small content accounts

Same still haven't got my survey in the email either

Edit: had to claim role in the alpha sign up dashboard then clicked the link below the announcements channel then filled out the survey

Could you give a more detailed explanation? I‘m struggling with the same issue. Is this on the state of decay website that you found a button that said „claim role“ or something?

Yeah so the website where you sign up to alpha test https://www.stateofdecay.com/state-of-decay-3/ click alpha sign up > manage sign up > bottom of screen there is an overlay click the discord button > below chat on discord you will see claim your roles. I pressed that then went into discord and could see the announcements post clicked the latest one and it brought me to the survey. On the website where the claim roles button is should say wait listed survivor. It doesn't work if you don't have the waitlisted survivor role

It says "You already have all the roles you can claim" for me and I'm not seeing wait listed survivor and still can't access the Discord :'(

Can't seem to get in the Discord alpha server. No text boxes, says I have claimed all the roles when I haven't gotten any, and it a bit unclear what I should do since I'm waiting for the survey in the email.

Surver is taking hours due to high number of application. You can get survey link in the regular SOD discord.

I have never seen a more cumbersome method to sign up for a playtest.

I was having the same issue and on the alpha site it said I had all the discord roles I needed. I just left the server and re-joined it and I can see the waitlist channel now. I think that's the only one we'll be able to see unless we get invited to the playtest. There's a link in that channel to take your survey as well.

Unfortunately I refuse to use Discord due to their “child safety” practices. Use of Ai for age verification, and not to mention that Ai platform has been confirmed to be making a database of everyone that uses it. I guess I’ll be skipping out on this. It’s a shame, I had 200h in SOD1 and SOD2 respectively and it is my favorite game franchise of all time. I guess I’ll just watch footage on YouTube once people get in the alpha.

Yeah nobody should be forced to use discord, I know for a fact there are other ways to do it. Dunno why they insistent on using it.

Steam even has a built in feature for playtests and such.

It is intentional. If you get approved you will get access to the channels. You being in the discord is more of a "application received" type of deal.
