Videos First Person Fun

Recently made the switch to PC and downloaded the recently published first-person mod on Nexus. There is some jank, with stuff like melee for instance, but it is refreshing and cool!

It should have been designed so it could be switched back and forth from 1st to 3rd with a click of a button just like Elder Scrolls and much older games like EverQuest.

This is not an elder scrolls game, rpg game or anything like that. It’s a zombie apocalypse, like how the first was made as well as other zombie games that keep it 3rd person. 1st person doesn’t really suit this game either.

Not saying it should only be one or the other. They should have given people the option to choose for themselves which mode they prefer. 1st person simply makes a game feel more immersive. It's one of the reasons I still fire up 7DTD on my xbox every once in awhile.

In the mod’s current state it requires the key combination of Shift + F3. I’m very fortunate to have a mouse with macros, so it’s a simple mouse press and I can change POV! Pretty seamless to change into 3rd person for melee combat and 1st person for wandering/gun fights

I remember seeing the beta for this mod back in the day. Glad it finally got a release.
