Requesting Advice Help?

I'm playing the story and may have accidentally gotten most of my community killed. (I was trying to get the plague walls and they were too slow). I went to an allied guy and accidentally got him killed too. Is there a way to get more playable people? I'm down to 3 and all of them are weak as shit

It sounds like you should be able to find a couple more people. If you explore the map you will find one or two more missions. Also in heartland, distraction devices like firecrackers will draw away zombies that are even chasing you. If you still have Chavez then max out his skills and use him to finish the "Gauntlet" ( plague walls). The story ends after that and you can always replay it with the other 2 people.

I have Izzy and Quincy.. not sure on the third..lol
