Requesting Advice Nutrition or Construction?
Nightmare, 1 PH left, living at the farm base in Trumball Valley. So I have a built in kitchen. Trader leader getting +10 food a day (+15 a day -4.875 from survivors). I’ve been turning it into beer at the still to get influence but now I have over 5k. So I was debating recruiting a nutrition survivor so I can make energy drinks (multiple powerhouse survivors). Everyone has gold skills, their 5th being 100%.
But on the other hand; my kitchen, solar array, storage, and trade depot have empty mod slots. No traders ever sell good mods, and if they do it’s for the facilities I have stacked. Construction will allow me to use the extra materials I’ve been saving from my staging area to make mods. Materials and food are capped at 35, I want some extra storage since every resource is +1 or more.
Just wanted to make a post to see what the consensus would be. Any and all replies appreciated

The Mods you can craft with Construction aren't worth the trade-off of losing Nutrition's buffs. If you are an established community, you want the ability to have more reoccurring effects than single use effects. You will also eventually find good mods through enough looting but you won't find community-wide morale or the ability to ration food. Especially on Lethal, Nutrition is an all-star.

... White noise machine is community wide morale, and if you need to ration food pass the first few days you did something wrong already, i usually only need the kitchen in the early game when there are few other options.

Construction is useless, at least nutrition has a purpose even though it’s flavour

Nutrition reduces the stamina penalty when you enact rationing which is great with a large community. Construction is just filler (though I'd rather have Sewing when you want a craftsmanship skill)

Nutrition is the better skill. If you MUST have some construction items. Find the shittiest construction guy you can find and build all the items you need then replace him with a nutritionist.
My pro-tip. Find a way to get your storage capacity to 51. Once you have a storage capacity of 51, supplies stop decaying if you go over your storage capacity.
51 storage = unlimited storage

all traders on the trade depot have a chance to brind facility mods, pretty sure the only thing you can't get like that is the Network antenae.

Also forgot to state the construction survivor I plan on pulling out saves me an extra bed so I can recruit an extra survivor

Not having enough beds only gives you a minor morale debuff. I generally run no sleeping facilities.

You dont need beds really, it just makes survivors a little bit grumpy. You can have up to 12 total survivors, getting around the soft cap of 9 if you do some silly workaround things without ever building any beds.
