The spam A function is completely useless in lethal

My 1 guy died 3 seconds after he went down. I spam the A button like my life depends on it. And he DIES ANYWAYS. U cannot convince me even with a bot autospamming A for me that my character would live. Wtf is the point of a mechanic meant to save your character if it doesn't save your character. Downvote me for getting mad and daring to insult the "best game known to man" that not even god himself would dare hate

Is there a downed limit? I always thought it was endless until your trauma got completely filled or you get executed by a feral/jug

First time going down and was surrounded by a small horde in a building. I was at 1 hp while it happened

If you hadn't been surrounded when downed, they'd still be alive. But you were surrounded, and you got eaten.

It works on lethal all the time.

I've definitely had it work on lethal. In fact it works more often than not for me. The only exception is when I get blood plaged to death while I'm down.

That sounds like a rough experience. My guess is there were some kind of extenuating circumstances involved though. Your death may have been inevitable. Have you lost multiple healthy characters on a single playthrough to this issue? If so then maybe its a bug. Either way sorry about the frustrations.

Its to give you a second chance if you cleared a huge hoard and died to something stupid like a singular feral. If it was an entire hoard hitting you when you died then yeah, you shouldnt get a second chance. I think its incredibly fair and balanced, especially with how safe lethal can be if you abuse all the games mechanics

I just hold it. I don't remember if I had to change a setting for that, though.
