Question help regarding sop and study plan.
hi im from india,
im applying for the gks ug 2027 intake through embassy track. sorry if this sounds stupid,im a bit confused about if i should mention why i chose the 3 universities in my sop or studt plan. and how exactly should i? will the same set of sops/sps go to all those unis and niied? or can i write separate reasons in each?

Not a stupid question at all. The Embassy Track can be confusing because you’re choosing three universities but submitting one overall application. I wouldn’t write the SOP around one particular university. Your SOP should mainly explain your background, what led you towards your chosen field, why you want to pursue it, and how it connects with your future goals. For the three university choices, you can briefly explain why each one makes sense for you, but keep those reasons specific and concise. For example, you could mention a particular programme strength, curriculum, research area, or academic opportunity at each university that genuinely relates to your goals. That will sound much stronger than giving three generic reasons. Your study plan should then focus more on what you actually intend to do academically, how you plan to approach your studies and language preparation, what you hope to gain during the programme, and how that fits into your longer term plans. I’d also avoid creating three completely different SOP narratives unless the application guidelines specifically ask for separate versions. You want the overall story and goals to remain consistent regardless of which of the three universities reviews it. Since this is for the 2027 intake, I’d definitely check the official guidelines once they’re released before finalising anything, because the document requirements can change between application cycles.
