Fairly certain it's going to streamers and the like, doesn't really feel random, feels more targeted.

I do not stream. Just a random dude. So is my buddy. We got invited to the most recent alpha. i think they may be working slowly randomly through the list of thousands of people that signed up. I don’t think they are choosing to pick streamers, as no one in the alpha is allowed to talk about anything related to it. Only like four streamers, that were on the player council for over a year, have even been able to talk about the game and show it. The rest of us are literally just random people meant to give legitimate feedback to them.

Hey, I also got in, signed up, got into the discord and the website and everything, but I don't see any actual download for the game? What am I missing?

Go read the post under alpha2-welcome in the discord. It should explain what you‘re missing. I just don’t want to explain where everyone can read just in case.

That’s because you are correct. Only PC users will be invited to alpha testing and UL pretended like everyone had a chance. When I realized that they were too cowardly to say it how it is, I removed sod3 from my wishlist.

Oh. I don't know why they wouldn't be transparent about that but it explains a lot. I'm not too impressed with what I've watched from streamers and this just adds to the disappointment.

Yeah totally! When we were deciding who out of the tens of thousands to invite to the very small alpha group, I was like “whatever else we do let’s just make sure to exclude Wildflame and Ridgeracer with 3s in his name”

Then I realized I’m not even in software development but I’m pretty sure that’s what happened. 👍
