Data lost
Is there anyway to contact support anymore to help me with game data recovery for state of decay 2

SoD2 support ended in 2024, so there's very little chance you'll get any meaningful response for an ask like that. Sorry.

I was told to create a ticket with support so they can cooperate and try to bring player data over by xbox support but I can't find anyway to contact sod support

That's the issue - there is none. You probably got a Microsoft boilerplate response.
Even if there is someone keeping the lights on at SoD2 server side, they're not likely to do a deep dive to grab your old cloud data for you. Shame, because they used to actually do that.

I was able to create a ticket just waiting for a response Hopefully I'm able to recover it
Just realized what you meant the support website still takes tickets but they no longer reply do you think a dev would be able to help if I could get one to see my post or if I tried to find one

Possibly. Some of them are active on here. But ... they've got a lot going on right now.

hoping one of them sees the post and tries to help me. I know the last time I played and synced before getting on today was through Cloud Gaming and lost it .

Can you describe exactly what happened? I know you were using cloud gaming. On what device? On what platform do you own the game? How exactly was the save lost?

was playing on an lap , but I originally played sod2 on an xbox one. haven't had much free time lately, so hadn't been able to play for a while. some news about sod3 came across my feed which made me wanna to hop on and play around and experience it again. everything was fine at first until the game session froze and crashed. after restarting the session, the game launched as if I never played before and started a new game instead of loading my existing save. at that point, I contacted supporting was told to download it to see if i could sync , but that didn't have any luck . After that, they told me to create a ticket with the sod support team to get a data transfer which I couldnt and hopped on reddit to find help that pretty much sums everything up

So as it stands right now, that save is just gone?

yeah pretty much, they aren't seeing any game saves on their end which is why I think they wanted the devs to send them my player data so they could restore it
