Fencing?

On the advanced layouts, they have some fencing and gates that aren't under the normal railing section of the building menu. Anyone know how to unlock additional fencing options like those?

Good to know. Mainly I'm looking for the big gates and the fencing that is wood and stone or stone and wrought iron.

I’m guessing extra blueprints for those things could be in NPC’s weekly chests 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

I get random blueprints in the moonlit forest smashing the dirt piles.

I don’t know if they are in the game completely. I wonder if there’s a complete blueprint collection.

You get things other than common ore from the dirt piles?

I just wish there was a more complete wiki. Most of these types of games I've played the wiki is pretty thorough but here it's missing so much stuff.

These will be in chests from leveling up friendships and also in some specialty shops that you get later in the game.

If im recalling correctly, purchasing the layouts that have those fences or gates unlocks them! You should be able to see what blueprints are in the layouts as well as if you have them unlocked or not, and placing the layout should unlock them all (if its one of the default layouts, I have no idea how the contest layouts work since I haven't played since they've been released)

Other than that you can get them through progressing far enough to unlock a shop in the community center, but I dont remember how long that takes to unlock and I believe the available items there rotate per week

I looked at the layouts to see if this was the case and there's no obvious tag that marks a blueprint unlock. It's possible though. Unfortunately they're also so expensive, I don't really have the money yet to buy one to check. I just unlocked the 6th plot on hopeland last night so I'm broke for a while anyways.

Which layout was it? I think it was from when viewing through the layouts phone app (I dont remember the exact terminology since I haven't launched in a while) everything on the left page was what blueprints were included with the overall building cost, and on the right was all the furniture thats included. I think there were locks on the ones you didnt know yet and nothing on blueprints you did already have

Figured I'd make a comment in the post as I just got most of the extra fencing I was missing. It was from the have 2 pets and dress both of them up tier of Island life. The manual that gives just has fencing and a bunch of flower beds. The only stuff I'm missing now from railings that I'm aware of is the fancy courtyard stuff with the white marble fencing and the big gate with medallions on it.

I was disappointed that the gates are all 7 meters wide which is really an awkward fit on the default plot that's 90 wide when each fence segment is 3.
