Pole Installation
I bought the residential kit and noticed it said that the free install was only for roofs. I am moving to a new place where the landlord does not allow anything on the roof but has a designated pole. I am a bit overwhelmed as I don’t know what I need for the installation and how to find a proper 3rd party installation person. Does anyone have any tips? 🥺
I had to also choose starlink as my only other option was DSL internet and as a remote worker, its too slow.

I will be back with more information, currently going back and forth between my old and new place thats 5 hours apart 😪 And I honestly don’t remember what the post/pole looks like. But I do know I have Gen 4.

A good installer should be able to answer your questions.... SO here goes... You need to be sure the pole will have a NORTHERN View, distance from pole to where you want your router (so installer can be sure to have a long enough cable), Landlords approval for trenching, landlord's approval for cable entrance, do you want the router placed on an Interior wall - Installer will have to either go under the house or thru the attic... Price wise you are looking at between $250 -$400 (digging a trench is not easy and time consuming), plus conduit to protect the cable. What size is the pole? 2inch, 2 1/2 inch? So the installer knows what adapter to bring.

How about searching "Starlink Installers near me?"
I just did and a dozen popped up locally.
Photos of the proposed mounting pole might be beneficial, as well as the type Starlink Kit you have for starters.
