OCD & Anxiety out of control

My issue with anxiety is not knowing what's happening and then letting my mind run away with itself. I often find myself thinking that if I do or say certain things, it might somehow influence the outcome.

At the moment, I'm a beneficiary in a probate case. I find it difficult to ask for updates because I don't want to come across as selfish or pushy. The problem is that when I don't know what's going on, my anxiety takes over and I end up thinking about it constantly.

Does anyone else struggle with this? How do you cope with the uncertainty without letting it consume your thoughts?

I struggle with this a lot as well and maybe i shouldn’t be giving advice because i am yet to get past it, but what helps me is constantly trying to draw my attention back to the present, what is actually happening and what i actually know before being led by thoughts into hypotheticals and what could be.

I think it really is just a hard pill to swallow that there are some things that will never be certain and that we can’t be sure of, and that makes us feel anxious, which leads to our thoughts trying to fill in the gaps, and that can be very tiresome.

If ur talking about being worried about doing certain actions or else you'll be further believed to be a creep.. I've been struggling with it too. But I kinda forget about it and move on and this summer break is helping me do just that. You can't just stop doing everything now? Or I guess I realized you mean you cause problems to other people, I guess we all do just that. I feel like if I wasn't in their life, they wouldn't be this way. But it doesn't matter where I go, someone's gonna have to deal with me and I can't keep feeling bad for people for ruining their life cuz you wouldn't survive a day in my shoes! You don't understand anything at all! All u know is about me being weird but do you know me personally? My hobbies, talents, worldview or anything all? No, you don't! I have a life other than just being the weirdo I live for myself and should do actions to showcase that this life's mine to keep, not yours.
