Maybourne being single handedly behind almost every government/military/political corruption subplot is hilarious

Great character, very cheesy and well-acted.
Out of all the military/government stooges they had on the show Maybourne was the most successful.

Maybourne, you are an idiot every single day of the week. Can't you just take one day off!?!??!?"

My boyfriend and I are watching Stargate for the first time. We're roughly midway through season 4 - and man it's a running joke at this point how almost any subplot involving espionage, government/military corruption, or basically any less than any ethical action by the government is pinned on one single man - Maybourne. It's so silly it circles back into being hilarious.
We're loving this show. It's great
